Children visiting the library over December will see a lovely advent calendar created by Mrs Cox. If you are going into the library, and ask your teacher nicely, then they may reveal each day. What do you think you will find behind each day?

Boys Cup Finals Day23-11-2016 | 15:53:57 | No Comments

The morning of the 23rd November started damp and wet but broke into beautiful sunshine for the Finals Day of the boys football Cup. We had reached the semi finals by winning the last 3 games but unfortunately, we could not progress any further as Stanley took victory in our game.

Every single player has contributed to our journey to Finals Day and should be proud of themselves. The whole school is proud of their achievements and hope we continue our success into the leagues after Christmas.

We have been very fortunate to play on the lovely Stanley Park Sports Arena with professional referees and we received medals and certificates for our efforts this term. Roll on the New Year!

More Impossible Tales with Dan Worsley17-11-2016 | 10:41:50 | 1 Comment

We had a very special treat in school this morning. Dan Worsley, author of Impossible Tales and Eric Appleby: Zero to Hero, came to talk to the whole school about his new book ‘More Impossible Tales’. This is a follow up to his first book released 2 years ago. He has been busy planning and writing over this time and been interviews on radio and TV.

Donning his famous storytelling waistcoat, goggles and rubber gloves, he told us the story of ‘Pat on the Head’ with the moral of not telling lies. It is safe to say the children had their stomachs churned by the cow’s actions in the story!

If you wish to buy a copy of his new book then he will be selling them after school in Hall for £5. Just come to the main entrance to join the huge queue. Thanks Dan!

Remembrance Day Service11-11-2016 | 11:24:08 | No Comments

Today we gathered as the Bispham Endowed School Family, at 11 o’clock on the 11th day of the 11th month, to remember our Armed Forces. We held a special service, including the two minutes silence, which was kept impeccably by all. We also had readings from some Year 6 pupils and the Last Post was played by our talented musicians.
