Safer Internet Week04-02-2017 | 14:01:04 | No Comments

Tuesday 7th February 2017 is Safer Internet Day with the theme ‘Be the change: Unite for a better internet’. As a school, we want to promote the use of safer internet use for our children. Celebrated in over 100 countries, Safer Internet Day will see Bispham Endowed join hundreds of organisations across the UK and globally to ‘be the change’ and help create a better internet.

To celebrate, we will be holding activities all week in school to ensure that children understand the importance of how and why we need to stay safe online.

FS/KS1 children will be taught about asking to use the internet and watching videos online.

KS2 children will look at the impact of posting pictures online.

Alongside the activities being held in school, there will be a competition for children to design a poster on how to stay safe online. There will be prizes for the best posters in the infants and the juniors. Please can all entries be named and handed in by Thursday 9th February to your class teacher for the winners to be announced on Friday 10th February.

We would like to remind parents and carers that we update our class blogs regularly so that you can be kept informed about the children’s learning. When you visit our school’s main blog,, there is a link to all of the class blogs in school. You can also access the blogs from the school’s website. The blogs give the chance for pupils to celebrate their work to a worldwide audience safely and for pupils and parents/carers to comment on work.

We would also ask that you talk to your children about being safe online.

Many thanks for your support and we look forward to seeing the competition entries.
